Prof Chebutuk Rotich appointed Kabarnet University College Ag. Principal

Moi University Professor Daniel Chebutuk Rotich has been appointed as the Kabarnet University College acting Principal, a constituent college of the institution.

In a congratulatory message, Moi University Vice-Chancellor (Ag.) Prof. Kiplagat Kotut lauded Prof. Rotich’s leadership experience, academic dedication, and commitment to advancing higher education.

He expressed confidence that Prof. Rotich would steer the institution to greater heights in line with its vision of becoming “a centre of excellence in academic mentorship, research, and innovation for sustainable resource utilization.”

Prof. Rotich, who hails from Baringo Central, is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in university systems and administration.

His appointment is seen as a boost not only to Kabarnet University College but also to the wider Baringo community, which has long advocated for stronger representation in higher education leadership.

“We wish him God’s favour, wisdom, and guidance as he undertakes this important responsibility,” said Prof. Kotut in the statement.

The appointment is expected to further strengthen Kabarnet University College’s role in providing quality education and fostering research and innovation in the North Rift region.

Prof Rotich holds PhD in Information Management from Thames Valley University-London in England, Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in publishing studies from University of Stirling in Scotland and Bachelor Honors Information Sciences from Moi University.

As a focused researcher and administrator, Prof Chebutuk Is taking with him both widespread administrative skills and academic excellence to the Kabarnet College.
