Police in Kakamega on Saturday morning arrested Kakamega Homeboyz super fan Collins “Collo” Lumumba during the ongoing FEASSSA Games.
Lumumba caused panic on Friday at Bukhungu Stadium after flashing his popular homemade toy gun to scare students. The incident sparked alarm among spectators. He is said to have scared the participating students with it claiming it was a gun. The popular fan who don’t miss to dress in Homeboyz colors was dressed in police like uniform.
During the dramatic Saturday morning arrest, Lumumba was still dressed in the regalia. The wooden toy gun was confiscated. Investigation towards his behavior commences.

No injuries were reported, but the incident raised security concerns as thousands of students and sports fans continue to gather in Kakamega for the regional secondary school games.
Police say investigations are ongoing to establish the intention of the suspect. After his arrest, he claims to have been arrested for leading political chants which rocked the stadium. ” Wanasema I was leading fans to chant wantam in bukhungu. Pia Bunduki bonoko,” he claimed.
Kakamega County has witnessed large number of football supporters in the ongoing FEASSSA games. Kenyan teams are performing well treating fans to memorable moments.
Organizers have urged fans to adhere to security protocols and cooperate with marshals to ensure the safety of participants and spectators.
