A primary school teacher has died from injuries she suffered in an accident along Thika-Garissa highway.
Anastacia Mahiuha, 54, who taught at Matunda Primary School, succumbed to injuries sustained from a motor bike and lorry collision. She was with another male teacher during the accident.
Mahiuha was pronounced dead on arrival at Thika Level 5 Hospital.
According to John Kuria KNUT chairman Thika branch, the truck is reported to have sped off after the accident but motorbike riders who were nearby followed it and recorded the number plate and forwarded it to the police.
