Deputy Director for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in charge of Nakuru and Baringo Counties, Rosemary Kimani has urged principals of TVET to continue marketing their institutions to increase trainees enrollment.
Speaking in her office in Nakuru City, Kimani said a vigorous marketing campaign should be conducted by marketing departments including office of the Principal and Registrar to ensure thousands of trainees are enrolled in TVET institutions, to meet a target set by State Department of TVET.
The Director added that various marketing agencies like Print Media(Newspapers), social media and NGAO are very useful tools to pass information to youths and their parents on importance of joining TVET institutions.
She also urged parents to enroll their children to public TVET institutions for them to acquire skills which are very essential for their future life.
“The government has heavily invested in infrastructure by constructing workshop and laboratories to enable trainees acquire the best skills in TVET institutions in Baringo and Nakuru Counties “, said Kimani.

She encouraged TVET Principals in Baringo and Nakuru Counties to cooperate with Members of Parliament because they are among key stakeholders in TVET centres.
TVET Institutions in Baringo County include; Baringo National Polytechnic, Emining TTI, Eldama Ravine TTI, Kapchepkor(Baringo North )TTI , Mochongoi TTI and North Rift(Tiaty)TVC.
On the other hand, TVET Institutions in Nakuru County are The Rift Valley National Polytechnic, Naivasha TTI, Kiptaragon TVC, Heroes TVC, Total TVC, Molo(Elburgon)TVC, Njoro TVC, Subukia TVC and Gilgil TVC.
