The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has issued a strong warning this morning to aspiring teachers and the general public against an increasing wave of fraudulent schemes involving fake employment letters and registration papers.
In a strongly worded statement posted on its official Facebook page, the Commission cautioned Kenyans about conmen who are exploiting job seekers by charging hefty sums for documents that hold no legal validity.
“We wish to alert all aspiring teachers and members of the public about the growing threat posed by conmen purporting to sell TSC employment letters and registration papers.”
TSC emphasised that the documents being sold are entirely fake and part of a wider scam targeting ambitious young professionals.
“Please be warned that these papers are FAKE. These individuals prey on your ambitions and exploit your trust.”

TSC stated its commitment to transparency and integrity, stating that all recruitment into the teaching service is done through official and merit-based channels only.
“The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) stands firmly on the principles of integrity, fairness, transparency, and merit.”
The public has been urged to protect themselves by avoiding unofficial payments and verifying all information via official TSC platforms.
“NEVER pay any individual for a promise of TSC employment… ALWAYS verify information through the official TSC website or offices.”
In its closing remarks, the TSC reminded all Kenyans of their role in upholding the honour of the teaching profession.
“We all have a role to play in safeguarding the credibility of our education system. Let’s honour the noble teaching profession.”
This warning comes in the wake of increased reports of desperate job seekers falling victim to well-coordinated fraud rings across the country.
The Commission has encouraged members of the public to report suspicious activity immediately to either law enforcement or TSC authorities.
