Kyamboo Primary School in Kitui County is set to benefit from improved early childhood education infrastructure, following the official handover of a construction site for new ECDE classrooms by area MCA, Mark Ndingo.
The event, held as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen foundational education across Yatta/Kwavonza Ward, marked a significant milestone in the county’s investment in quality learning environments for young learners.
Ndingo, who has remained vocal and proactive in championing education development, led the site handover ceremony personally.
Speaking during the event, he reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that children across the ward access quality learning facilities at the earliest stage of their academic journey. He emphasized the importance of ECDE in shaping future generations, adding that the project at Kyamboo is just one of several he has initiated under his leadership.
The planned classroom will provide a modern and conducive space for early learners, replacing aging or inadequate infrastructure that has long affected learning outcomes. The MCA also praised the collaboration between the county government, school management, and local community in pushing for improved education standards, stating that shared responsibility was key to the project’s success.

This latest initiative builds on Ndingo’s previous efforts to uplift ECDE centers in the region. In recent months, he has overseen similar projects at Ngulilu and Ngovu primary schools, demonstrating consistency in fulfilling his education-focused development agenda. These projects are part of a wider county-led push to equip ECDE institutions with safe and child-friendly facilities.
Residents and education stakeholders welcomed the move, noting that it would not only boost enrolment but also create a better teaching environment for ECDE instructors. The community expressed gratitude for the MCA’s support and looked forward to the speedy commencement and completion of the construction work.
