Nyamira County Senator Okong’o Omogeni has decried poor state of ECDE classrooms in the area and blamed Governor Amos Nyaribo for the messing up the centres saying that he uses much time in divisive politics at the expense of development.
The Senator who spoke in Nyamira town, pointed out the dilapidated class rooms at Riomego Nyakaranga and Itibo,in Mekenene Ward as the best examples of schools that lack ECDE classrooms among many others in the county.
“These schools have poor classrooms or none for our tender children who also don’t have proper pit latrines to use,” he said.
Omogeni added that young children are mainly attracted to beautiful physical objects, he therefore asked Governor Nyaribo to avoid missing priorities in development by incorporating other leaders in the important development decisions making.
“The county cannot be built by one man alone that is why I appeal to the Governor to be a team player by uniting his Members of the County Assembly for quick development of our Country.” He said

However on responding to the accusations, Nyaribo denied, though stated that Rome was not built in one day and mentioned the great strides the county has made in the improvement of Early Childhood education development sector.
