The PS further highlighted the State Department’s vision, adding,
“The state department positions TVET as an important and necessary pathway in skilling Kenya’s youth for industrial development.”
The modularized CBET curriculum, which emphasizes practical, outcome-based training, allows trainees to acquire specific, certifiable skills in shorter durations.
This approach is expected to enhance flexibility for learners, enable faster entry into the workforce, and facilitate continuous up skilling in response to evolving industry demands.
The forum was attended by a wide range of educational leaders, including county directors, principals, deputy principals, heads of departments (HODs), and registrars from TVET institutions across the Coast region.
