A woman in Athi River, Machakos County is calling on well-wishers to help her raise school fees for her children who have been absent from school for two terms now.
Divinnah Moraa, mother to the two girls said she had lost her job after she fell ill and got admitted in April.
Since then, she has had problems paying for her daughters’ school fees as well as feeding them and paying her house rent.
She used to work with EPZ Athi River branch.
Moraa who spoke with Education News said she is a single mother. Her girls one in PP1 and Grade five both school at St Joseph The Artisan Academy in Athi River and have suffered emotionally after they failed to report to school.
She has however resumed work but is yet to be stable since the hospital bill was huge and she is still struggling to clear it.
