Nambale Constituency is set for a major education boost following the announcement of a comprehensive school infrastructure development plan by Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mulanya.
The MP made the announcement during an official event to disburse bursary cheques worth Ksh 46 million under the National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF).
The ambitious plan includes the construction of modern storey tuition blocks equipped with libraries, science laboratories, computer hubs, and administration offices, in an initiative aimed at enhancing the quality of education and providing a more conducive learning environment for students across the constituency.

Among the schools earmarked for the projects are Mabunge RC Secondary School in Bukhayo Central Ward, St. Joseph Musokoto Secondary School and Katira Secondary School in Bukhayo North/Walatsi Ward, and St. James Madibo Secondary School in Bukhayo East Ward. These institutions will receive new facilities that are expected to significantly improve learning conditions and academic performance.
In a separate development, Nambale Boys High School in Nambale Township Ward will receive a Ksh 5 million administration block. The new facility is designed to strengthen the school’s capacity and reinforce its position as a regional academic hub.

Mulanya noted that education remains a top priority for his leadership and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind due to lack of infrastructure or financial support. He emphasized that the Ksh 46 million in bursaries will benefit hundreds of students from underprivileged families, helping them to stay in school and focus on their studies.
The announcement was received positively by local education stakeholders, parents, and community members, who welcomed the projects as a critical step toward improving the education standards in Nambale.
