Teachers across the country have been encouraged to adopt continuous learning, particularly in the field of technology, to stay relevant in the rapidly evolving education sector.

Rift Valley Regional Teachers Service Commission (TSC) Director Dr Samuel Marigat stated that technology has brought significant changes to the teaching profession, and educators must stay updated to deliver effectively under the new curriculum.

“Technology is transforming education, and teachers must keep up. Advancing your skills is no longer optional—it’s essential,” said Marigat.

Marigat, the chief guest at the event, assured that teacher recruitment would continue in a free, fair, and transparent process.

He further lauded the teaching fraternity for their key role in implementing the CBE curriculum.

KTTC Board Chair Sammy Kirui appealed to the government for increased funding for the college, citing stalled projects and limited expansion due to inadequate resources.

College Principal Emilly Kibet praised KTTC as one of the country’s oldest and most distinguished teacher training institutions, currently hosting 1,360 students.

“This graduation marks a milestone, not just for the college but also for the country as we roll out CBE-trained educators ready to transform learning,” said Kibet.
