Kaimosi Friends University gets new Deputy VC

Kaimosi Friends University has appointed Prof. Fred Anangwe Amimo as the new Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Student Affairs, and Research taking over from Prof. Julius Kipkemboi who was holding the position in acting capacity.

In a memo to staff and students yesterday and signed by the University’s acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Peter Mwita, Prof. Amimo will hold the position for a period of five years  effective from April 25, 2025.

The Associate Professor of Biological Sciences specializing in insect science was serving at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) as a Dean in the School of Health Science before his appointment as the DVC at Kaimosi Friends University.

He also served as a DVC Academic Affairs at the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton.
