Kaimosi Friends University (KAFU) will host its first Innovation Week on March 24-25, 2025. The event will bring together students, researchers, and institutions to showcase technological advancements and innovative ideas.

The event will be held at the KAFU Hockey Pitch and Governor’s Hall and aims to foster creativity and collaboration among young innovators.

Participants will include KAFU students and staff, as well as representatives from Friends National Polytechnic Kaimosi, Sigalagala National Polytechnic, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), and several high schools, including Goibei Girls High School, Kaimosi Boys, Kaimosi Girls, and Imusudzu High School.

Organizers have lined up a series of activities, including product exhibitions, pitching sessions, and a mini-conference, where participants will present and discuss advancements in ICT, science, climate, health, and technology.

The event will provide a platform for young minds to turn their ideas into real solutions and to create an environment where students and researchers can connect with industry experts and potential investors.

With Kenya’s innovation sector growing rapidly, KAFU Innovation Week is expected to play a key role in bridging the gap between academic research and practical solutions. The event will also serve as a networking platform for students, professionals, and stakeholders interested in emerging trends.

The university has invited the public to attend and engage with the exhibitors, with organizers promising an interactive and insightful experience.

KAFU Innovation Week is a significant step toward strengthening the region’s innovation ecosystem and inspiring the next generation of problem-solvers.
