A training programme, whose main aim is to demystify imagined difficult concepts in Mathematics, especially at the basic level of education, has started in West Pokot County.
Themed,”Tayari Mathematics”, the programme, EIDU, targets to train the coordinators who will pass the knowledge on to schools. It is a digital learning platform that embraces technology to improve education in low and middle income countries.

Speaking during the inauguration of the officers’ training, Chief Officer in-charge of education Julius Lokituman asked the trainees to take the training seriously as they have been identified as real agents who will help teachers learn how to assist learners simplify complex operations in Mathematics.
It mainly deals with learning content and exercises from global providers, mode of transmission being through android devices and measuring each child’s learning progress in real time.
The broad process involves usage of machines to optimize content and features as well as teacher support, which provides lesson plans, training and coaching.
Its main objective is to provide quality education that meets world class standards accessible to all learners in both pre-primary and primary school so that they can compete effectively with the rest of the world.
