Bomachoge Borabu Member of Parliament (MP) Nolfason Obadiah Barongo has urged parents to instill life skills in their children in their formative years to ensure holistic growth.
The MP, who is a professional engineer, attributed his success in education and leadership to his late grandmother who taught him the importance of embracing hard work, honesty, consistency and resilience in life.
“It was by virtue of patience and consistency that I learned and which gave me the strength to pursue science subjects and finally ended up being an engineer,” he said.
The MP was speaking at the Constituency during the burial ceremony of his grandmother Teresiah Nyamusi Ombeo.
“Her unwavering love and guidance shaped me into the person I am today and her legacy will live on the lessons she imparted in me,” he said.

Also in attendance were local leaders led by Bokimonge Ward MCA Amos Onderi.
Onderi called for support from the residents for enhanced health and education development, the priority projects in the constituency.
Former Bokimonge MCA George Bibao discouraged leaders against politicizing funerals, terming them as solemn occasions meant to accord departed loved ones their final respect.
