Sossion is our boss, says unionist

By John Ochieng

Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has reiterated that they still recognise Wilson Sossion as their legitimate secretary general.
Homa Bay Branch Executive Secretary Cornel Ojuok  has said the purported deregistration of Sossion as a teacher was inconsequential as the law was not followed.
Ojuok said that teachers are bitter with the government’s move to frustrate teachers when the services of their secretary general are undermined.
He said that the government must stop intimidating teachers and the union.
“We still recognize Sossion as our secretary general and on behalf of Homa Bay teachers, I assure him of our support on his endeavor to better the working conditions for the Kenyan teacher’’ said Ojuok.
The Government had deregistered KNUT Secretary General Wilson Sosion and KUPPET chairman Omboko Milemba after Sossion was nominated and Milemba elected to parliament.
