Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Makueni branch Executive Secretary Justus Kimeu has affirmed that all branch members will down tools during the teachers’ strike on Monday.

“As Makueni branch, we are more than ready to down tools since we have been silent for a long time,” he said.

Kimeu called on all teachers to maintain solidarity with their colleagues as they exercise their constitutional right.

He further urged parents not to release their children to school next week.

“Parents kindly don’t release your children to go to school on Monday,” Kimeu said.
