The future of 12 bright needy students of Friends Lukala Secondary hangs in balance owing to failure by their parents to pay school fees.

The school is now appealing to well wishers to come to their aid to enable them continue with their education.

Their fees balances have accrued over the time they have been in school, prompting the school to ask leaders both at the county and national government levels and other citizens of goodwill to help them out.

The 4 boys and 8 girls are in forms one and two and hail from humble backgrounds where some have no families and others parents.

Deputy Principal Jemimah Nekesa said the school has been cushioning the learners by allowing them to learn for free as they are bright students.

“Sometimes when we send them home for school fees they stay away for too long, forcing us to allow them to stay while others go home,” he said.
