St Monica Kitale stretches the limits to plant over 1000 trees

Students and teachers get ready to plant trees.

St Monica Girls Kitale did a tremendous job by planting over 1000 trees in the school compound, doubling what they managed to plant last year.

The programme started early morning and took a better part of the day last week, involving all students from Form 1 to Form 4 and the teachers.

The tree-planting exercise was an occasion that brought everyone in the community on board.

Led by Senior Principal Grace Onyango, the highly motivated staff and students said they will take care of the tree seedlings until they mature.

Onyango said the tree planting exercise will be a routine in the school every year, especially during the rainy season.
