The County Government of Trans Nzoia is looking to employ 23 Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers as it looks to deal with the tutor shortage in the county.

Through the County Public Service Board in an announcement seen by Education News, 19 assistant ECDE teachers, three assistant ECDE teachers, and one assistant ECDE teacher are needed.

Qualified and interested candidates are asked to send their applications online through the official email address cpsbtransnzoia@gmail.com before June 21, 2024 by 5:00 pm. Persons with disabilities, marginalised and minorities are encouraged to apply.

The county government announced that successful candidates will have to avail clearances from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), as well as Kenya Revenue Authority (Tax Compliance Certificate) upon employment.

The announcement comes after Governor George Natembeya engaged 735 ECDE teachers on Permanent and Pensionable (PnP) terms last year, who were spread across 434 centres.
