There was pomp and colour at the Lusengeli Mixed Day Secondary School in Vihiga County as students, teachers, parents and stakeholders held a Thanksgiving ceremony.
It was a befitting event as the mixed day school managed to send 31 students to the public universities and a mean score of 4.48.
The school Principal, Mathews Mageso, speaking during the function thanked the Lusengeli fraternity for improving academic performance.
“Lusengeli secondary school has experienced tremendous growth in the recent past, both physically in terms of infrastructural growth, student population and academic prowess”, he said.
Chief Guest Vihiga Woman Representative, Beatrice Adagala said that the school has very high transition rate.
She added that the school has a high number of students who have joined middle level institutions and many have become successful citizens.
“I am proud of schools because of excellent results and thank all teachers in Vihiga County for their extra dedication”, pointed Adagala.
