Two Kisumu National Polytechnic students were killed, being suspects of robbery.

Two students of Kisumu National Polytechnic have been murdered while apparently on a robbery mission that backfired.

According to a police report, the deceased attempted to rob a security guard who in the process overpowered them, and that the two were among a group of four who were on a futile mission.

The guard is said to have raised the alarm after overpowering them, and people quickly responded and subjected them to a mob justice. Their bodies have been moved to a local morgue.

The college Chief Principal Catherine Kelonye said she was trying to get through to the police and parents of the two students as the incident happened while they were on holiday.
