Murang’a teachers ready to implement the CBC curriculum, conference told

Teachers in Murang’a County have already been trained on Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) procedures and they are ready to implement it.

Speaking when he officially closed the county KESSHA Annual Conference held at REEF Hotel in Mombasa, Murang’a County TSC Director Fredrick Ng’ang’a  advised teachers to redouble their efforts in order post better results in the 2024 KCSE in their respective schools.

He told them to continue to prepare for Grade 9 examinations that are coming next year, even as they exercise a high degree of professionalism to ensure effective teaching and curriculum delivery.

Ng’ang’a said the government will continue to conduct capacity building training for teachers to enable them to implement CBC, asking principals to utilize resources well for effective operations.

The principals, led by their chairperson Joyce Waruru, assured the government that they will fully support the implementation of CBC in the region.

She thanked all those who attended the conference and more particularly officials of the Ministry of Education (MoE) and Teachers Service Commission (TSC), promising to work as a team for better service delivery.

The conference was attended by over 400 delegates from the nine sub-counties.
