Businesses were paralysed in the streets of Nakuru City as doctors from South Rift region demonstrated peacefully as they parade themselves in various streets of Nakuru City.
They presented their grievances to county administration and County Assembly of Nakuru.
Led by Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) South Rift region Secretary Dr Steve Omondi, hundreds of doctors painted the streets with white colour for six hours as business people, pedestrian, motorcycle, and drivers in the streets had nothing to do but to see unfolding events.
Dr Omondi who together with other medics presented the grievances to Nakuru County Executive Committee on Public Service Training and Devolution Roselyne Wanjiru said that they will continue with their strikes until their grievances are address by the Government.
Wanjiru promised to present the petition to the Governor Susan Kihika.

The demonstration then proceeded to County Assembly after passing through the busy Kenyatta Avenue creating a big jam at the KFA roundabout.
When they arrived at the Assembly the doctors were received by Majority Leader Alex Lagat who also promised to discuss the matters with the leadership of the Assembly.
Lagat pleaded with the doctors to also remember that patience in the hospitals also have a right to receive treatment and doctors are the sole providers of medical service.
Dr Omondi told Lagat to advise the National Government to implement all grievances that are in the strike notice presented by KMPDU to the Ministry of Health.
Some of the issues that doctors wants the Government to address include conversion of doctors who are employed to contract basis to permanent and pensionable basis, promotion and redesignation of doctors, comprehensive medical cover, posting of medical interns, full implementation of 2017 CBA, paying of school fees of post graduates doctors, doctors access to car loan and mortgages among others.
He accused Health CS Susan Nakhumicha for threatening and intimidating doctors as he added that the strike will go go on until the Government implement their grievances.
