The 2024 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Eastern Region kicked off yesterday March 21, 2024 with various hockey matches taking place at Machakos School.
In girls’ category St Joseph Matiku Girls defeated Our Lady of Mercy Girls High (Olom) 4-1.
AIC Nyayo Girls beat Kangungi Mixed Secondary 3-0 as Moi Girls triumphed over Mwala Girls 3-1.
In the boys’ category, Siakago Boys lost to Kitondo Boys 0-2, Meru School won 6-0 against Dakabaricha Day Secondary School. Kisasi Boys High defeated Mavuti Boys High 1-0.

Katangi Mixed Secondary roasted Ikuu Boys 4-1, and also defeated Siakago Boys 1-0 as Kasasi Boys beat Dakabaricha Day Secondary 2-0.
The final Nationals for the region will be held at Machakos Boys and Girls in Machakos County from April 6-14, 2024.
