Shinyalu MP Fred Ikana is committed to ensuring that Form Four candidates within the constituency are accorded a peaceful environment to study by giving them Ksh5,000 each as bursaries.
Speaking during a Judiciary open day for the Kakamega Law Courts at Lubao market, Ikana said the bursary allocation will enable students to learn without interruption.
The MP asked the Judiciary to extend their training services to vocational training and rehabilitation centres so that the knowledge of the law is extended to learning institutions.
Those who graced the event included Justice Aggrey Muchelule of the Court of Appeal, Kakamega Law Courts magistrates Gladys Kiama and Joseph Ndururi in charge of petty offences.
