The shortlist for the 2023 Sports Personality of the Year Award (SOYA) for secondary schools is out, with national soccer champions St Anthony’s Boys High School Kitale leading the pack after a stellar run in the East Africa competitions.

They were nominated in the Boys School Team of the Year category in the awards which will be held on March 1, 2024 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

St Anthony’s football team, popularly known as Solidarity Boys, impressed in the recent regional competitions where they reclaimed the national trophy they had won in 2019, which they had foregone in the earlier stages after losing to Kabarnet High School in the final of the 2022 Rift Valley regional contests.
