The Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI) has organized capacity-building workshops for Junior Secondary School (JSS) head teachers across the country.
The training, which targets head teachers in all 47 counties, commences today February 26 to go on until March 16, 2024.
According to a circular seen by Education News sent to all County Directors of Education (CDEs), participants will receive money directly and in consultation with the local KEPSHA leadership and organize for own meals.
Along this line, the circular signed by one Wycliffe Wasike on behalf of the chief executive (CEO) Dr Maurice Odondo, suggests that the KEPSHA leadership within the training venues should decide with the participants on meal arrangements through individual contributions, which should not disrupt the sessions.
KEMI is a State agency mandated to train all education staff, including teachers, ministry officials, and schools and colleges boards, among others that fall under the sector.
