The Kilifi County Government has pledged to offer full scholarships for 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) candidates who secured Form 1 admissions to national secondary schools.
Speaking during a public meeting at Malanga village in Malindi sub-county recently, Sokoke Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Thaura Mweni revealed that the county will also offer scholarships to candidates who secured admissions into extra county secondary schools.
He further disclosed that there will be no single bright secondary school student from a poor background in the county who will stay at home due to lack of school fees.
Mweni reiterated that the county is committed to ensuring all children receive an education.
He also called on parents to apply for bursaries in large numbers to ensure their children’s education continues uninterrupted.
