Style-Up Driving School Director Dr. Eunice Imwendwa has said that she will use her Doctorate award to push for government policy on Universal Access to Basic Education to ensure that all children who enroll in primary school complete their secondary school education.
Speaking after she was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership Ministry and Community Development by Open Christian University USA, in affiliation with Angaza Bible and Training Institute, she said that the award has motivated her to do more in the education sector.
The Director was among 21 honorees, nationally and internationally, who were honored with Doctorate awards for their outstanding performance in community development, conflict resolution, leadership and innovation.
Dr. Lister Nyamasege, Academic National Dean of Students at Angaza Institute, said that the Awardees were identified, nominated and vetted vigorously before receiving the award.
Imwendwa was awarded for supporting vulnerable persons and also for leading road safety campaigns which led to the reduction of road accidents in the country.
“I like empowering others to become leaders and associating myself with the less vulnerable, I mobilize food for the needy and support several youth mentorship programs as well,” she said.
The Director also graduated after completing a course in Humanitarian Diplomatic TVET-accredited course offered by the International College of Peace Studies.
She said that she will be leading in promoting conflict resolution through dialogue, peace-building and other resolution methods.
International College of Peace Studies is a college center for the Center of Executive Education for the United Nations University General Assembly in Costa Rica.
It offers practical professional training courses and was accredited in April 2021 and began offering its training programmes in Kenya in 2019.
