Oruba Boys students stage protests after majority score D in KCSE

Students of Oruba Boys Secondary School in Migori County

Oruba Boys Secondary School students have disputed their 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results.

The students, who protested in the school and the County Education Office in Migori County, termed the results as not genuine after the majority of them scored grade D plain.

The shocked students said that only two of them managed to score grade C minus while the rest got Es, results which they said did not reflect their performance.

The school has never recorded such a performance during its entire existence.

The Education Office directed the students to present their case to the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) offices.

Speaking during the release of the 2023 KCSE results, KNEC CEO David Njengere stated that the Council had given anyone with complaints about the results 30 days to appeal.
