The Secretary General of the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT), Collins Henry Oyuu, has emphasized that the well-being and priorities of teachers lie firmly in the hands of KNUT, positioning the union as their steadfast leader.

Oyuu underscored the paramount importance of providing accurate guidance to educators.

He firmly asserted that KNUT’s role is not that of mere dealers, but rather advocates for the collective benefit of all teachers across the republic.

Additionally, Oyuu adamantly declared that any opposition to initiatives designed for the betterment of the education sector would be met with staunch rebuttal.

He emphasized the professional nature of KNUT, highlighting its dual role as both a trade and professional union.

In Oyuu’s view, the union’s commitment extends beyond mere trade concerns, incorporating a dedicated focus on the professional development and welfare of its members.
