Microsoft Africa Development Center CEO, Catherine Muraga, has urged technology firms to integrate fresh graduates into their workforce.

Addressing Zetech University’s seventh graduation ceremony at the Mang’u Campus, Muraga emphasized that these new graduates bring essential ICT knowledge and skills capable of revolutionizing and transforming companies, ultimately enhancing productivity and competitiveness on the global tech stage.

“Corporate leaders should mentor and provide employment opportunities to young, creative, and innovative minds,” she stressed.

Additionally, the CEO highlighted the necessity for companies to embrace not only new technologies but also the perspectives and aspirations of the younger generation.

Commending Zetech University’s commitment to advancing education through Artificial Intelligence, Muraga underscored technology’s potential to personalize and humanize learning.

She noted that investments in both technology and faculty training empower instructors to innovate with digital tools, fostering greater connection with students.

Zetech University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Njenga Munene, emphasized the institution’s substantial investment in ICT, including the establishment of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship hub (i-Zet).

Prof. Munene outlined innovative ICT programs, such as CyberSecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Cloud Infrastructure, aligning with the dynamic needs of the Tech Industry.

“These programs aim to produce graduates ready to innovate future technology solutions,” he stated.

Additionally, Prof Munene announced the approval of Zetech University to offer its inaugural Ph.D. programme in Business Administration and Management, focusing on producing problem-solving and innovative change agents.

Chancellor Prof Susan Alfano encouraged graduates to continue building networks and persistently pursue opportunities for personal and societal transformation.

She reminded them that education’s true value lies not just in acquiring knowledge but in utilizing that knowledge to make a positive impact on the world.
