Parents at Koma Ranch Primary School in Matungulu Sub-county, Machakos County have called upon the Ministry of Education to post male teachers to the institution.

The School Head teacher Augustine Mawathe confirmed the absence of male teachers and highlighted the Ministry’s assurance of addressing this imbalance by sending male educators to the school.

“With a student body of 1,230, the public mixed primary school currently boasts 35 female teachers and no male educators,” she stated.

One of the parents Peter Mutuku expressed apprehension about potential disruptions in the event of multiple female teachers going on maternity leave simultaneously.

“There is necessity of male teachers to serve as role models for the boys,” he emphasized.
