Kisii schools invited to Nyasaria Hill for tree planting on November 13

Kisii schools have been invited to Nyasaria Hill for a communal tree planting event on November 13 in response to the proclamation of the day as a public holiday dedicated to tree planting.

Nyasaria Hill is in Kisii South Sub-county, and the event will kick off at 11 am.

This announcement is disseminated through an official circular from Tom Anjere, the Kisii County Commissioner, addressed to all heads of learning institutions in Kisii County.

Distinguished by the presence of the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Information, Communication, and Digital Economy Eliud Owalo, the chief guest for this occasion, the event holds significance for promoting environmental conservation and community engagement.

As the community gathers at Nyasaria Hill, the focal point of the initiative, it marks a collaborative effort towards sustainable environmental practices, with the CS underscoring the importance of this public holiday dedicated to fostering a greener, more sustainable future for Kisii County.
