TSC to employ more primary, JSS teachers

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has pledged to employ more teachers in the country and deploy them to primary schools and Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) to enhance effective teaching and learning.

Speaking during the official opening of KEPSHA AGM held at Sheikh Zayed Children’s Welfare Centre in Mombasa County recently, TSC chairman, Dr. Jamleck Muturi John disclosed that TSC is already aware of the teacher shortage in the country and stated that strategic plans have been put in place with a view of addressing the prevailing situation in the country.

Additionally, he praised teachers in the country for their dedication towards of offering quality education to the school children.

The chairman also said that primary school teachers in the country with higher qualifications will be considered for promotion.
