Chuka University promotes 10 academic staff to professorship positions

Ten distinguished scholars have been promoted to professorship positions at Chuka University.

Lucy Kawira Gitonga of the Department of Nursing, School of Nursing and Public Health, is now a full professor of Midwifery and Nursing.

Ochieng Ombaka of the Department of Physical Sciences, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology, becomes a full professor of Chemistry.

Ann Andanyi Sande of the Department of Social Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, is now an associate professor of Development Studies.

Gilbert Mugambi Miriti of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business Studies, becomes an associate professor of entrepreneurship.

Others are Andrew Muguna of the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Business Studies, who becomes an associate professor of Human Resource Management, and Eric Elias of the Department of Education, Faculty of Education and Resources Development, taking up associate professorship at Educational Management department.

Chogoria Campus Director Humphrey Kirimi Ireri is now an associate professor in Linguistics, Department of Humanities, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, as Dennis Kariuki Muriithi becomes an associate professor of Applied Statistics in the Department of Physical Science, Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology.

Nancy Mbaka rises to Associate Professor in the Linguistics Department of Humanities, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, while Kyalo Wa Ngula is elevated to Associate Professor of Mass Communication, Department of Humanities and Social Science.
