Christine Nzige, Taita Taveta County Director of Adult Education.

124 adult education learners are set to take on the challenge of both the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) as private candidates in Taita Taveta County.

Speaking at Wundanyi town, the Taita Taveta County Director of Adult Education, Christine Nzige said that of these 124 candidates, 86 will be sitting for KCSE, while the remaining 36 will tackle KCPE.

She emphasized the importance of this opportunity and urged all the youth in the county who had dropped out of school to enroll in nearby literacy centers and complete both KCPE and KCSE.

“The Department of Adult Education is important in providing a chance for adults who missed out on formal education during their early years,” Nzige highlighted.

She urged parents to support and motivate their young adults who discontinued their education to continue their learning journey.

The director emphasized that the county’s rapid development necessitates an educated workforce capable of spearheading the design, planning, and implementation of community development projects.
