Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Nyandarua Executive Secretary Julius Macharia has urged teachers to maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism during the management of the 2023 KCSE examinations.

Speaking to Education News in his office, Macharia said that the examination is very critical to the lives of thousands of candidates as it determines their future career path.

“I urge our teachers to continue maintaining high standards of integrity during KCSE to ensure we produce the good results we deserve as Nyandarua County,” he said.

Macharia encouraged candidates to be determined and face the examination with confidence.

“I encourage all KCSE candidates to head into the examination room while keeping in mind that the results will, to some extent, determine their future,” he said.

He also urged parents to provide moral support to their children as it is important during this vital period of their lives.

Macharia further advised parents of students in day schools to reduce domestic chores for them and provide a conducive learning environment before and during the exam period.

“I urge parents to give candidates adequate time to study and enough learning materials to enable them to perform well,” he said.
