Ministry transfers Lamu, Malindi Directors in latest reshuffle exercise

The Lamu County Director of Education (CDE) Joshua Kaaga has been transferred to Nyanza region to serve as the Deputy Regional Director of Education (RDE).

Speaking to Education News from Nyamira town, Kaaga noted that he has worked in Lamu for the past four and half years and that he has been replaced by Nyamira CDE Zachary Mutuiri.

While bidding farewell, Kaaga asked Lamu residents and education stakeholders to accord Mutuiri the necessary cooperation to enable him to discharge his duties efficiently and effectively.

He further urged them to work in unity to improve education standards in the region.

Elsewhere, Malindi Sub County Director of Education (SCDE) Josphat Ngumi has also been transferred to Lunga Lunga sub-county in Kwale County to serve in the same capacity.

Ngumi, who has worked at the station for three years, noted that he has been replaced by Rashid Rubir from the Ministry of Education.

He assured Lunga Lunga residents that, with consultations with area stakeholders, he will put measures in place to ensure education standards in the area improve.
