Education stakeholders in Nyandarua hold hands to boost education standards

Education stakeholders in Nyandarau County have promised to join Hands in order towards boosting education standards in Both Secondary and Primary schools in the county.

Speaking during Nyandarua County Education Day, which was held at Kiganjo Secondary School, the leaders called said they will play their respective parts to create a conducive environment for both students and teachers who are key factors in producing good academic results.

The leaders including Governor Kiarie Badilisha and a score of Members of Parliament promised to disburse bursary funds and improve infrastructure in the education institutions in the county.

Governor Kiarie said his admiration was committed to the education of students from the County.

He urged all teachers especially the school heads to improve academic standards in their institutions.

Political leaders who attend the function promised to involve various stakeholders to meet and analyze ways of improving education standards in the county.

“I will rally all Members of parliament and Senate to consider the Gazettement of our county as a hardship area to attract more teachers who will teach our students because we can only boost our performance if we have adequate teachers in our schools”, said Nyandarua Senator Methu.

On his part, Nyandarua County Director of Education Philip Wambua said the standards of Education in the County have been improving and measures are being laid to ensure schools maintain the upward trajectory.

Nyandarua County KESSHA Chairman Peter Maina thanked the Ministry of Education and TSC for supporting schools within the county.

Various schools which performed well in academic and co-curricular activities were awarded trophies and other awards to motivate them to work hard and produce good results.
