Several school teams from Nyanza region are set for the KSSSA Term 2 games 2023 nationals meet scheduled for 7th to 12th August in Kakamega County.
The regional meet was held last week in various regions across the Country.
Nyanza region will have the following teams representing at the nationals to be held in Kakamega’s Bukhungu stadium and other playgrounds in the County.
In Rugby 7’s St. Mary’s School Yala and Maseno School will be lifting the Nyanza flag while in Soccer, Lwak Girls will do the same.
In Soccer Boys it’s not yet clear whether Agoro Sare who had won the title will go for the nationals, this is after Kisumu Day lodged an appeal against them for fielding an ineligible player during the just Concluded Nyanza regional football finals.
In Volleyball Nyakach Girls and Onjiko Boys will represent whereas in Netball Oyugi Ogango Secondary will be routing for the national title.
In 3×3 Basketball Ototo Secondary and Ng’iya Girls and Boys’ 3×3 Basketball Onjiko Boys and Agoro Sare will all be battling for the national trophy.
