Interior and National Administration Cabinet Secretary Prof Kithure Kindiki has donated Sh. 1 million to purchase desks for Kiserian Primary School.

The CS was in Kajiado North Constituency to open a police station in Kiserianand.

The CS had been requested by area MP Onesmus Ngogoyo to aid the school.

The school is one of the most highly populated schools in the region.

Kindiki said the national government is committed to ensuring all children receive education to support the community.

“The government is committed to supporting the country’s fight against Gender-Based Violence.” He said

He said the ministry will allocate money to support the war against GBV.

In the past month, five children have been killed through GBV-related cases in Kajiado North.

“Our Children must be protected from GBV, we have information of many children especially girls who have been affected in this county,” he said, and challenged local administrators to ensure such cases are wholly curtailed.

Kindiki tasked Kajiado County women’s representative Leah Sankaire to develop a program on how to handle the GBV issues saying the government will allocate money to support the program.

The Women MP called on the government put up rescue centers across the region to accommodate children, girls, and women rescued from GBV.
