Kwale sets aside Ksh118M to implement VTC development projects

Kwale county has set aside Ksh118,397,548 to implement development projects in Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) in the region.

Speaking to Education News in Kwale town recently, the county Director in charge of VTCs and Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) Mr. Abdalla Bilashaka urged residents to embrace technical education by enrolling their children to acquire technical skills in various fields.

He said that the move will enable the youth to secure skills to be self-employment or increase their chances in the job market.

Bilashaka further asked tertiary education stakeholders and residents to support the institutions to enable them offer quality training to students.

“You are therefore duty bound to equip technical training institutions in the region with relevant facilities so that students can learn under a conducive environment,” the Director told stakeholders.

He noted that the institutions play an important role in preparing the youth for the future.
