Three suspects have been arrested after they reportedly abducted and defiled a 14-year-old girl on Monday at a residence in Riruta Satellite area, Dagoretti.
The minor was travelling from Mombasa to Nairobi aboard a 3.00 p.m train which was to arrive in Nairobi at night, a statement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) states.
Parkins Odero and Alfred Matumona are the primary suspects while another suspect, Jackline Mangea, was later arrested after the police discovered that she assisted the suspects in hiding the girl.
According to the girl’s father, his daughter arrived at the Standard Gauge Railways (SGR) terminus at night but disappeared without a trace and her phone went unanswered, allegedly taken by Parkins Odero who raped her.
The following day, she was handed over to Alfred Matumona, who is believed to have also defiled the victim.
The three suspects are in custody as investigations continue.
