Meru County government has disbursed bursary funds worth Ksh136 million to enable bright but needy students in North Imenti constituency continue their education.
The county Governor Kawira Mwangaza said that after the exercise she would head to Central Imenti and South Imenti constituencies for the same.
She promised to ensure only deserving students get bursaries from the county government.
Students from day secondary schools will receive Ksh2,000 while their counterparts in boarding school will receive Ksh10,000.
