Prof. Ong’ondo is still CEO, KICD says

The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), has refuted claims that Hellen Chepchumba Chepkwony has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the institutions. KICD therefore wishes the public to know that the CEO remains Prof. Charles Ong’ondo.

Through a notice to the press, KICD clarified that Chepkwony was appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC).

On May 2, Chepkwony was appointed as the new CEO of KDIC in a position she has been in acting capacity for the last four years.

The two entities are totally different as KDCI is a government corporation mandated to provide a deposit insurance scheme for customers of member institutions, incentives for sound risk management and generally promote the stability of the financial system and prompt resolution for institutions.
