KESSHA issues its 2023 calendar of events

Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) has issued the calendar of events for the year 2023.

The association has indicated that events will be held between the month of March and August this year.

Events that already took place include that of the National Executive Committee Meeting which was scheduled for March 8th in Nairobi while the National Governing Council Meeting was also held in Nairobi on March 9th 2023.

The National Conference will be held from June 26 to June 30 in Mombasa County, the theme of the event will be “Enhancing effectiveness and efficiency of education in Kenya.”

National Student Leaders conference will be held from April 24 to April 28 in Kiambu County, their theme will be “Elevating students’ voices in secondary education.”

The African Confederation of Principals Council meeting has kicked of today, March 15 and will proceed to March 18 in Uganda while African Confederation of Principals Conference will be held as from August 29 to August 31in Swaziland, the theme of the event will be “Achieving sustainable quality education in Africa.”

The International Confederation of Principals Council meeting will be held in September 2023 in Lapland, Finland.

The association also indicated that regional events for school heads; the Principals County Conference will be held in various counties between the months of March and May this year.

KESSHA is a professional organization comprising of about 7,000 members drawn from public and private secondary schools in the republic of Kenya.

It was established in the late 1960s with the sole purpose of providing professional advice to its members spread in all the 47 counties in Kenya.

The association’s main objective is to promote the rights and responsibilities of principals, their professional organizations and the material and ethical interests of the education profession.
