2022 KCSE Analysis for all schools in Meru County

Meru County has proved to be a powerhouse in education after a number of schools posted exemplary grades in the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.

The county has a total of 290 schools – both public and private institutions.

Meru School topped the chart by posting a mean score of 9.498 with 326 candidates.

Mariri Mixed, with 223 candidates followed with a mean score of 8.332, Igembe Boys came third posting a mean of 8.246 with 261 candidates. It was followed by St. Mary`s Igoji which managed a 8.188 with 308 students and Nkubu High with 385 candidates who scored a mean of 8.161. Miathene Boys came sixth scoring a mean of 8.092 from 239 candidates.

Kaaga Girls came seventh with a mean score of 7.673 from 259 students while Kaaga Boys recorded a mean of 7.184. Nkuene Girls managed a mean score of 7.164 having registered a total of 216 candidates.

Closing the top 10 list is St Claire Girls with a mean score of 7.125 with just 16 candidates.

Tuuru Day was the last school in the county, managing a paltry mean grade of 1.643.
