Kisii private schools post impressive results in 2022 KCPE

A preliminary survey shows that private schools in Kisii County posted exemplary marks in the just released 2022 KCPE examination results.

Kenyenya sub county’s Excel Elementary Primary School Director Mr. Silas Abuga says the school had 100 percent pass among the 56 candidate who sat for the examinations.

“We have done exceptionally well,” he said.

The best candidate scored 422 marks and led 22 others from the school who scored more than 400 marks and above.

The last candidate scored 378 marks that sealed the excitement of the entire staff.

Mr. Abuga said that the institution witnessed improvement in its mean score from 386 in 2021 to 401 in 2022.

He attributed the good performance to cooperation from parents, teachers and disciplined students who were guided by Christian principles.

Other private schools that posted desirable results include Maxwell Cambus Academy in Gucha sub county.

The top candidate Brian Oseko scored 421 marks and was followed by Benard, Onsare and Makori who scored 418, 416 and 411 marks respectively.

Ogembo Preparatory’s top pupil had 408 marks followed by the second one with 403 marks.

The schools Head teacher Mr. Josephat Manyara revealed that the last pupil from the school had 321 marks helping the school achieve a Mean Score of 369 up from 367 last year.

Gucha sub county director of education David Oyoko sent early congratulations to the schools that posted good results.

He asked teachers to remain determined to excel in their profession.
